The Teghra Janmashtami Mela in Bihar is celebrated as Asia’s second-largest Krishna Janmashtami festival.
The massive festival began in 1928 to bring peace to the town after a devastating plague epidemic. It features around 14 to 15 grand pandals stretching across a vibrant 7 to 8-kilometer area.
The event attracts over 5 to 6 lakh visitors annually, including devotees from neighboring states and countries like Nepal.
It is a beautiful symbol of communal harmony, where both Hindu and Muslim communities collaborate to organize the fair.
